Career 2008 and Education 2008
A very warm hello to all our readers! Our blog is back! In our hiatus, there were some changes to our company and magazine, but we are now recharged and refreshed.The first event to grace our blog is the much-anticipated Career 2008 and Education 2008 Fair, which was held at Suntec Convention Halls 601 - 603 from 28th February to 2nd March.
Our booth was this cosy-looking nest where our team got to play host to visitors of our booth. We put up gigantic posters of our past issues, and they certainly did receive a lot of attention from the public.
Our main purpose for participating in this event was to increase public awareness of our magazine. We were armed and ready to go, with goodie bags and free copies of our magazines for the crowd.
We decided to reward early bird visitors to our booth with goodie bags. Consisting of a copy of Choices, numerous Nivea products and a full-sized bottle of you•C1000 orange juice, all our bags were snapped up within the first 2 hours of each day! This came as a pleasant surprise, considering that the fair ran from 11am to 8pm daily. Once again, we’d like to thank our generous sponsors for filling up our bags for our valued readers.
That wasn’t all – we also gave out free copies of our magazine. However, it turned out that Singaporeans aren’t really the sort to crowd only when there are freebies. We also had numerous visitors coming up to ask us about our magazine! This was extremely gratifying.
During the 4 days, we worked together, doing shifts and helping each other to man the booth and tend to visitors. It was also an opportune moment for us to bond together, not only as colleagues but also as friends. Most importantly, we learned how to get together as a team!
To round it up, we’d like to thank each and every one who sponsored gifts for our goodie bags, stopped by our booth or even glanced our way. This event could not have been successful without you. This is just the start of our events lined up, and we certainly look forward to your continued support!
